Nepali Director to Present Film Project in Moscow

An international film project pitching event titled “Cinema as a Tool for Confronting Future Shock” will be held on November 12 at the National Centre “Russia.” The event is part of the Third International Symposium “Creating the Future.”
The best projects have been selected from 17 submissions by filmmakers from abroad. Among them is “Gaadi: Sacred Place,” a project by Nepali director Raj Sargam (Rajkumar Lamichhane).
The film’s central character is Bhavani, a 16-year-old girl from a village in Nepal. When she begins experiencing unexplained episodes of trembling, she must challenge traditional ideas about faith and gender roles. The film explores how traditions can be preserved while building a fairer future.
