No Activities Against Any Neighbor Will Be Allowed from Nepali Soil: Finance Minister Wagley, Prioritizes Establishing Chinese Bank in Nepal

Kathmandu — Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagley has expressed commitment that no activities of any kind against any neighboring country will be allowed from Nepali soil. Speaking at a program organized by the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, he expressed gratitude for the assistance received from the Chinese government in Nepal’s socio-economic development.
Finance Minister Wagley also stated that establishing a Chinese bank in Nepal has been prioritized. He expressed confidence that the enduring relationship with China will further strengthen in the future.
Praising China’s support in transforming Nepal from landlocked to land-linked based on the five principles of peaceful coexistence, Wagley said Nepal is eager to learn from the development achieved by China.
He noted that China’s contribution to Nepal’s physical infrastructure — including the ring road in Kathmandu, the Kerung-Kathmandu road upgrade and railway feasibility study, Madan Bhandari University, and the Civil Service Hospital — is incomparable.
“Discussions are ongoing with the Chinese side for deeper partnership in areas of mutual benefit, including the establishment of a Chinese bank in Nepal, agriculture, and tourism,” Wagley said.
