Arab League Diplomats Visit Yekaterinburg, Doors Open for Investment and Cooperation in Siberia

Kathmandu — The State Protocol Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with the authorities of Sverdlovsk Region, has organised a trip to Yekaterinburg for heads and senior officials of diplomatic missions of Arab League member countries. The visit, held from April 20–23, included participants from Algeria, Djibouti, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Lebanon, Mauritania, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the LAS representative office.
The centrepiece of the visit was working meetings with Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Denis Pasler and the leadership of the region’s key companies. Both sides discussed priorities for bilateral cooperation in investment, industry, and humanitarian projects, agreeing to maintain regular business contacts.
The foreign guests took part in the 16th Eurasian Economic Youth Forum and the International Diplomatic Forum. At the Shirokorechenskoye Military Memorial Complex, they laid wreaths at the Eternal Flame in tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The programme also included visits to the Alexey Antonov Stone-Cutting House Museum, Sevastyanov House, and the UMMC Museum Complex of Military and Civil Equipment in Verkhnyaya Pyshma.
Following the visit, participants highly praised the region’s industrial, educational, and investment potential, noting the favourable conditions for cooperation. Foreign delegates also proposed concrete steps to expand business contacts and advance joint initiatives, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
