Ukraine War: Russian Forces Continue Advance on Eastern Front, Over 275 Troops Lost

Kathmandu — The Russian Armed Forces have continued to make advances on the eastern front as part of the special military operation, the Russian Defence Ministry stated on Thursday.

The Vostok (East) Group of Forces continued advancing into the depth of enemy defences, inflicting losses on one mechanised brigade, two assault brigades, one infantry brigade, and two assault regiments at various locations in the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk regions. The ministry claimed that more than 275 troops, four armoured fighting vehicles, seven motor vehicles, and a US-made 155 mm Paladin self-propelled artillery system were destroyed.

The Dnepr Group struck one mechanised and one mountain assault brigade in the Zaporozhye region, neutralising up to 25 troops, 12 motor vehicles, one Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system, three radar stations, and three electronic warfare stations.

Russian aerial strikes targeted Ukrainian energy infrastructure, drone launch sites, and temporary deployment areas in 141 locations. Air defence systems shot down seven guided aerial bombs, two HIMARS projectiles, and 571 drones. The Black Sea Fleet eliminated four more Ukrainian uncrewed surface vessels, the ministry added.
