Russian Deputy PM Presents State and Departmental Awards to Transport Workers, Calls Labour the Symbol of Respect

Kathmandu — Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev presented state and departmental awards to outstanding transport sector employees on the eve of Spring and Labour Day.
The ceremony was attended by workers from the transport complex and related industries. Deputy Prime Minister Savelyev thanked the awardees and their work collectives for their conscientious labour and high professionalism. The honours included the Order of Friendship, the Medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” II Class, the honorary title “Honoured Transport Worker of the Russian Federation,” among others.
“Our meeting is taking place on the eve of May 1 — the Spring and Labour Day. This day holds special significance for our country. It symbolises respect for labour, responsibility, and the aspiration and readiness to work for a common result,” Savelyev noted. Companies and organisations that took part in the preparation of the first International Transport and Logistics Forum, which was attended by over 6,000 participants from 82 countries, were also specially recognised during the ceremony.
