‘Russia–China Relations Serve as a Solid Foundation for a Multipolar World Order’: Ambassador Melik-Bagdasarov

Kathmandu — Russian Ambassador to Venezuela Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov has said that Russian-Chinese strategic cooperation serves as a solid foundation for a multipolar world order. Speaking alongside Chinese Ambassador to Venezuela Lan Hu at a seminar on multipolarity held in Caracas on Friday, he stated that the partnership between the two countries has exemplified responsible cooperation for decades.
“Russian-Chinese strategic cooperation, based on the principles of equality, mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs, has served as an example of responsible partnership throughout decades. Today, it is making a valuable contribution to building a fairer and more sustainable multipolar world order that serves the interests of the majority of countries,” the Russian diplomat said.
In his address, Melik-Bagdasarov emphasised the stabilising role of the Russian-Chinese partnership in the international arena and highlighted the fundamental importance of supporting the establishment of a just multipolar world order based on respect for national sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs. The seminar, hosted by the Pedro Gual Institute for Higher Studies in Diplomacy, was attended by around 200 scholars, diplomats, and students. #Russia #China #Multipolarity
