US President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s new peace negotiation proposal, calling it “unacceptable.” According to the Fars news agency, Iran’s 14-point proposal does not include a 15-year halt to uranium enrichment and reiterates that the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until a final agreement is reached between the two sides. Meanwhile, Trump announced that the US will launch a military operation starting Monday morning to ensure the safe passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
