From Ukraine War to Nuclear Risks: Russia-US Talks Held in ‘Businesslike’ Manner, Agree on Contact Schedule

Moscow — Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation on Monday.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the two sides aligned their assessments on the latest international developments and Russia-US relations. They also discussed the schedule for upcoming bilateral contacts and talks.
The Ministry briefly noted that the conversation was held in a constructive and businesslike manner. The talks took place at a time when the international community’s interest is growing regarding the need for high-level dialogue between the two major powers on issues ranging from Ukraine peace efforts to nuclear arms control.
