Lhasa to Host Cultural Tourism Festival: Namtso Lake Opening, New Dimensions in Night Economy

Lhasa. The second “Snowland Ancient City, Sacred Lhasa” Cultural Tourism Festival is set to be held in Lhasa from May 17 to 21, according to information released at a recent press conference. The festival will feature the opening ceremony of Namtso Lake, traditional cultural experiences at Junpa Nga Village in Chushur County, and cultural tourism investment promotions, among other events.
To further strengthen the economic dimension of cultural tourism and enhance the quality and upgrading of the tourism industry, Lhasa will also host a citizen experience event titled “Beloved Lhasa’s Joyful River” at the Lhasa Riverside Public Park from May 20 to 27. This initiative aims to establish a new benchmark for Lhasa’s nighttime tourism economy.
Additionally, various public welfare and consumption promotion policies will be implemented in an integrated manner. Through measures such as distributing public welfare consumption vouchers, authorities aim to vigorously propel the local cultural tourism economy toward high-quality development.
