Victory Motor Rally in Kathmandu with Flags and ‘Immortal Regiment’ Banners, Grand Procession to the Embassy

Kathmandu. A ‘Victory Motor Rally’ was organised in Kathmandu today on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. A column of festively decorated vehicles belonging to the Russian Embassy set off from the Russian House (Rossotrudnichestvo) and made its way to the Russian Embassy.

The vehicles participating in the rally flew Victory Banners and ‘Immortal Regiment’ flags. Participants carried portraits of their ancestors who had fought against Nazism during the Second World War. The rally toured through the main streets of Kathmandu.

The rally served not only to pay tribute to the great victory of the Soviet Union but also to highlight the friendly relations between Nepal and Russia.
