Five Killed in Moscow Region Dacha Fire, Electrical Short Circuit Identified as Cause

Moscow. Five people, including three adults and two children, died in a fire at a dacha, or summer house, in the Moscow Region. Following the incident, Russian investigative authorities have opened a criminal case. According to the regional prosecutor’s office, the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electrical wiring.

Earlier, reports emerged of a fire at a dacha house in the village of Evseyevo in the Pavlovo-Posad district of the Moscow Region. During firefighting and rescue operations, emergency personnel recovered the bodies of three adults and two children from inside the house.

The Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region has stated that a criminal case has been initiated and an investigation is underway. Investigators have inspected the scene and are conducting a detailed examination to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

According to information released by the prosecutor’s office, the preliminary conclusion indicates that a technical fault in the house’s old electrical wiring led to a short circuit, which triggered the fire.

Visual materials related to the incident were published through the official Telegram channel of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region and by the Russian news agency TASS.
