Rabi to Hold Talks with Prime Minister Modi Today

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, currently on a visit to India, is scheduled to hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
A day earlier on Tuesday, he had engaged in significant political and diplomatic discussions with the top leadership at the central office of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in New Delhi. During that time, Lamichhane held bilateral meetings with BJP National President Nitin Naveen, General Secretary Arun Singh, Foreign Department Chief Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Kapur.
Similarly, Chairman Lamichhane also met separately with India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Home Minister Amit Shah. The RSP stated that those meetings featured discussions on Nepal-India relations, mutual interests, democratic practices, security cooperation, and dialogue and collaboration between the political parties of the two countries.
The primary objective of the visit has been stated as further strengthening the historic, cultural, and people-to-people ties between the two neighbouring nations in line with the times, while broadening the dialogue on democratic values. The RSP noted via social media that the meetings included an exchange of strategic experiences on building robust organisational structures, grassroots public outreach, development-oriented good governance, and the leadership role of the new generation in contemporary politics.
The high-level delegation, travelling to India at the invitation of the BJP, includes Chairman Lamichhane along with Co-General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya and Secretariat member Deepak Bohara, among others. The team is scheduled to return home on Jestha 22.
