China Coast Guard Patrols Waters Around Diaoyu Dao

A China Coast Guard vessel formation conducted a patrol on Wednesday in the territorial waters of Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islands.

According to a statement issued by the China Coast Guard, the patrol was a rights-protection operation carried out in accordance with the law.

The statement said the operation was aimed at safeguarding China’s sovereignty, maritime rights, and interests in the relevant waters.
