Russia Day Greetings Shared, Short Video Clip Proposed for Nepali and Other Foreign Friends

Kathmandu. On the occasion of Russia Day, celebrated on June 12, the Russian community has extended greetings to its compatriots and proposed sharing a short video clip related to the national day with Nepali and other foreign friends.

In a message issued on the eve of Russia Day, the community wished its compatriots good health, prosperity and success in all noble endeavors.

“Dear compatriots, June 12 is Russia Day. We congratulate you and wish you health, well-being and success in all good undertakings,” the message said.

Through the message, a short video clip prepared for Russia Day was also proposed to be shared with Nepali and other foreign friends. The initiative appears aimed at conveying Russia’s national identity, cultural sentiment and message of friendship to communities abroad and citizens of friendly countries.

Russia Day is an important national holiday of the Russian Federation. The day is associated with Russia’s sovereignty, national unity, patriotism and modern state identity. It is observed not only inside Russia but also by Russian embassies, cultural centers, Russian Houses and Russian communities abroad through various cultural, educational and friendly programs.

In Nepal, Russia Day is also viewed with significance in the context of the historic friendly relations between Nepal and Russia, as well as cultural exchange, education, literature, science, technology and people-to-people contacts. Nepal and Russia have maintained diplomatic relations for a long time. Cooperation between the two countries has continued in the fields of education, culture, medicine, engineering, literature and people-level engagement.

The greeting message issued on the occasion of Russia Day appears to be an effort to connect not only Russian citizens living abroad but also Nepali and other friendly communities who hold goodwill toward Russia. In particular, the proposal to share the video clip signals an effort to advance cultural diplomacy and people-to-people contact through a simple, modern and effective medium.

In today’s digital age, short videos, cultural materials and greeting messages have become effective tools for expanding mutual understanding between citizens of different countries. Sharing such Russia Day-related content among Nepali friends is expected to help spread greater awareness of Russia’s history, culture, national spirit and modern identity.

For Nepali alumni who studied in Russia, Nepalis who have engaged with Russian education, admirers of Russian language and literature, cultural organizations, and individuals and institutions active in promoting friendship between the two countries, Russia Day is also an important occasion for exchanging greetings and recalling the long-standing ties between Nepal and Russia.

The greeting message expressed on Russia Day conveys positive energy by wishing health, well-being and success in noble endeavors. At the same time, the appeal to share the video clip with Nepali and other foreign friends reflects an effort to make Russia’s national day not merely a formal celebration, but also a medium of international friendship, cultural dialogue and people-to-people relations.

Such cultural and goodwill messages are expected to contribute to making Nepal–Russia relations more warm, vibrant and meaningful at the people’s level.
