Foreign Minister Khanal to Meet Chinese Counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing Today

Kathmandu — Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, who is currently on a visit to China, is scheduled to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing today.

Minister Khanal, who arrived in the Chinese capital at midday yesterday during his four-day official visit, is set to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in the afternoon.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had reached Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, the day before yesterday for a three-day visit. After returning to China today, he is scheduled to meet Nepal’s Foreign Minister Khanal.

Minister Khanal had left Kathmandu the night before last for his four-day visit to China. After arriving in Beijing, he attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing.

The meeting is expected to focus on Nepal–China bilateral relations, high-level exchanges, development cooperation, trade, connectivity, border management, tourism, and people-to-people ties.
