Russia Accuses West of Turning Ukraine Into Weapons Testing Ground, Alleges Zelensky Regime Unleashed Terror Against Civilians

UNITED NATIONS, — Russia has alleged at a United Nations Security Council meeting that, through the collective efforts of the West, Ukraine has been turned into a testing ground for drones and Western weapons, a hub for mercenaries and foreign terrorist fighters, a base for drug trafficking and a vast laboratory for research into various pathogens.
In her address to the Security Council, Russian Deputy Permanent Representative Anna Evstigneeva stated, “Through the efforts of the collective West, Ukraine has been turned into a testing ground for drones and Western weapons, a hub for mercenaries and foreign terrorist fighters, a drug trafficking base and a vast laboratory for research into various pathogens.”
She accused the Zelensky regime, backed by its Western handlers and sponsors, of having crossed the line long ago and reducing human life to mere expendable material in its pursuit of foreign funding. “In its determination to remain in power at any cost, the regime has effectively unleashed terror against civilians. The cold-blooded murder of civilians has become the hallmark of Ukrainian militants, who emulate the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany’s punitive forces during World War II,” Evstigneeva said.
Russian Energy System Remains Resilient
The Russian diplomat claimed that despite Western sanctions, Russia’s fuel and energy system remains resilient and continues to operate normally. She stated that Ukraine has failed to achieve any strategic effect, alter the situation on the battlefield or undermine social stability in Russia.
Against this backdrop, Evstigneeva said Zelensky had descended to making outright primitive assertions about Russia’s domestic political situation, seeking solace in fantasies about an alleged decline in public confidence in the Russian leadership. She suggested that Zelensky would be better advised to examine public sentiment in his own country more closely, while his so-called “democratic” sponsors should finally remember the need to hold elections in Ukraine.
According to her, “Even opinion polls controlled by Kiev can no longer conceal the obvious: public confidence in Zelensky is approaching zero, while a significant proportion of Ukrainian society sees the country’s future as dependent on the earliest possible replacement of the current authorities.” She remarked that Zelensky has effectively become a political figure whose long-illegitimate hold on power depends entirely on the continuation of hostilities.
Special Military Operation Achieving Objectives
Evstigneeva stated that Russia’s special military operation is steadily achieving its objectives, with Russia’s Armed Forces retaining the strategic initiative along the entire line of contact, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in personnel and equipment, and continuing to liberate territories.
“Despite the West’s unprecedented military and financial support for Kiev, its attempts to shift the battlefield situation in the AFU’s favour have yielded no results,” she concluded.
