Four Former Prime Ministers Share Stage for First Time After Gen Z Movement

Four former prime ministers appeared together on the same stage today for the first time since the Gen Z movement of Bhadra 23 and 24.

Former prime ministers KP Sharma Oli, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal attended a program organized by the Madan Bhandari Foundation in Kathmandu.

The foundation organized a symposium and award distribution ceremony at the Rastriya Sabha Griha to mark the 75th birth anniversary of Madan Bhandari. The program is being held under the theme “Nepal’s Communist Movement and Madan Bhandari.”

The event has drawn a large crowd, as four former prime ministers appeared together on one platform after the recent political developments. The ceremony venue was packed with participants even before the formal proceedings moved ahead.

According to participants, there was no space left inside the hall, forcing many people to sit outside. Some attendees were seen sitting on the floor outside the venue after failing to enter the main hall.

One leader attending the event said there was not even enough space to stand inside the venue.

“The hall is completely full. There is also a crowd outside. People are still arriving. We could not even enter the hall,” the leader said.

The joint appearance of major left leaders on the same stage after the Gen Z movement is being viewed as politically significant. The program is expected to discuss Nepal’s communist movement, Madan Bhandari’s political contribution and the current political context.

The event also includes an award distribution ceremony. The Madan Bhandari Foundation has been organizing different programs every year to mark Bhandari’s birth anniversary.
