Finance Bill 2083 Passed by House of Representatives

The Finance Bill, 2083 has been passed by the House of Representatives.

During Sunday’s meeting of the House, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal announced that the proposal presented by Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle to pass the bill had been approved by a majority.

With the passage of the bill, the legal basis has been established for implementing tax and revenue-related provisions proposed for the upcoming fiscal year.

The Finance Bill is directly linked to the implementation of the national budget. It provides the legal framework for tax policies, revenue collection, fees, duties and other financial arrangements introduced by the government.

The bill will come into effect from the Nepali month of Shrawan.
