Russia Says 327 Civilians Affected by Ukrainian Attacks in One Week

Moscow. Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has said that for the first time since the beginning of 2026, the number of Russian civilians affected by Ukrainian attacks exceeded 300 in a single week.

According to Miroshnik, 327 civilians were affected over the past seven days. He said 42 people were killed and 285 others were wounded. Among the wounded were nine children, while two minors were among those killed.

Miroshnik accused Ukrainian armed groups of carrying out a series of deliberate attacks on residential areas and civilian infrastructure in Russian regions, resulting in numerous civilian casualties.

According to him, missile weapons were used against densely populated areas of Voronezh and Volgograd. He also said that a massive strike involving a heavy attack unmanned aerial vehicle was launched on Gorlovka, damaging part of an apartment building.

Miroshnik further stated that a drone raid targeted the Sambek Heights museum complex in the Rostov Region during a public event. He said the largest numbers of civilian casualties were recorded in the Belgorod and Voronezh regions, the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

According to the Russian official, from June 22 to 28, Ukrainian shelling affected 327 civilians. He said that over the same period, Ukrainian forces fired at least 5,126 munitions at civilian sites on Russian territory.

Russia has repeatedly described such attacks as strikes against civilian infrastructure, residential areas and public spaces. Moscow says these incidents should be taken seriously by the international community.

The latest developments have once again brought the issue of civilian security to the forefront of the Russia–Ukraine conflict. According to Russia, attacks on civilian areas away from the frontline are deepening regional tensions and increasing the humanitarian cost of the conflict.
