China’s Top Political Advisor Wang Huning to Visit DPRK

China’s top political advisor Wang Huning will pay an official goodwill visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from July 15 to 17.
A spokesperson for the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee announced on Tuesday that Wang will lead a Chinese party and government delegation during the three-day visit.
Wang is a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
The visit will take place at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK, according to the spokesperson.
The visit is expected to include exchanges on strengthening the traditional friendship, inter-party relations and bilateral cooperation between China and the DPRK. China has not yet released a detailed itinerary for the visit.
