Trump Claims Agreement Reached on Complete Disarmament of Hamas in Gaza

U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the so-called Board of Peace has reached an agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups operating in Gaza.

In a post on Truth Social on Thursday, Trump described the purported agreement as a critical step towards placing Gaza under a new Palestinian government that would work closely with the Board of Peace to support the Palestinian people.

He also claimed that the arrangement would provide Israel with the security it seeks by preventing Gaza from being used as a base for attacks against Israel.

According to Trump, the agreement would be implemented through a structured, phased process. As disarmament progresses, Israeli forces would withdraw, while an International Stabilization Force would work alongside a newly established Palestinian police force to assume responsibility for security in Gaza.

Trump said Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye had helped broker the agreement as mediators.

Hamas, however, has not yet formally confirmed that such an agreement has been reached. Until confirmation is issued by the Palestinian group and other relevant parties, Trump’s announcement remains a unilateral claim.
