An increasing number of Russian citizens living in Canada are reportedly seeking information about the possibility of returning to Russia.

Reports citing the Russian Embassy in Ottawa identified concerns over living conditions and perceptions of increasingly negative attitudes toward Russians as among the factors behind the growing interest in returning home.

The embassy has also reported inquiries and applications from Canada under Russia’s state-assisted voluntary resettlement programme.
