Russia Issues Strong Warning to UK Over Reports of British Drones Used in Strikes

Russia has strongly criticised the United Kingdom following reports that Ukraine is using British-made unmanned aerial vehicles to carry out strikes deep inside Russian territory, accusing London of deliberately escalating the Ukraine crisis.

In a statement, the Russian side said Britain was publicly presenting itself as supportive of peace while simultaneously expanding military assistance to Kiev in ways that, in Moscow’s view, contribute to prolonging and intensifying the conflict.

Russia argued that reports of British drones being used against targets inside Russian territory demonstrate what it described as London’s growing direct involvement in the conflict.

The statement also accused the United Kingdom of acting as an accomplice in attacks carried out by Ukrainian forces and of seeking to weaken Russia and inflict maximum damage through support for Kiev.

Moscow warned that Britain’s policy would carry consequences, saying that the deeper London becomes involved in the conflict and the greater its military support for Ukraine, the higher the political and strategic cost it could ultimately face.

Russia has repeatedly argued that the use of Western-supplied long-range weapons and unmanned systems against targets inside Russian territory represents a deeper level of Western involvement in the war.

The latest statement reflects Moscow’s increasingly sharp criticism of Britain’s military support for Ukraine and its broader role in the conflict.
