Alexander Zbruev Denies Reports of Hospitalization

Renowned Russian actor and People’s Artist of the RSFSR Alexander Zbruev has denied media reports claiming that he had been hospitalized.

Speaking to the Russian news agency TASS, Zbruev said reports about his hospitalization were inaccurate. Earlier, several media outlets had claimed that the 88-year-old actor required emergency medical assistance and that doctors were considering whether to admit him to hospital.

Zbruev personally rejected those reports, making clear that he had not been hospitalized. His statement has therefore cast doubt on earlier claims concerning an alleged medical emergency.

A veteran of Russian theatre and cinema, Zbruev is regarded as one of the country’s prominent senior actors. Reports about his health had prompted concern among fans and members of the Russian cultural community.

Following the actor’s direct clarification, there is currently no confirmed information supporting claims that he was admitted to hospital.
