Pushilin Accuses Ukraine of Glorifying Nazi Criminals

Dragon Media News Desk

Denis Pushilin, head of Russia’s Donetsk region, has accused Ukraine of glorifying Nazi criminals.

In an interview with Russian news agency TASS, Pushilin claimed that Ukraine lacks an independent historical foundation and, as a result, has elevated controversial historical figures as national heroes.

His remarks come amid a continuing political dispute between Russia and Ukraine over interpretations of World War II history, nationalism and historical memory. Ukrainian authorities have long rejected such Russian accusations as politically motivated propaganda.
