Australian House Speaker Milton Dick to Visit China

Australian Speaker of the House of Representatives Milton Dick will visit China from September 18 to 22, leading a parliamentary delegation at the invitation of Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China.

Dick currently serves as Speaker of Australia’s House of Representatives, while Zhao heads the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress. During the visit, parliamentary leaders from the two countries are expected to hold discussions on inter-parliamentary exchanges and broader China-Australia relations.

High-level contacts and parliamentary exchanges between China and Australia have become more active in recent years. Zhao visited Australia in 2025, and Dick’s upcoming trip is being viewed as a continuation of efforts to strengthen parliamentary communication between the two countries.
