Electronic Ear Tags Track Awang Sheep’s Health and Breeding Records

Electronic ear tags are being used to record information about individual Awang sheep in the Chamdo area of Xizang, China. Scanning a tag can reportedly show an animal’s parentage, birth weight, vaccination history and genetic information related to meat quality.
