US Energy Secretary Says Washington Is in Dialogue with Russia and Ukraine to End Conflict

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said the US administration was maintaining dialogue with both Russia and Ukraine to end the conflict between them. In an interview with CBS News, he said President Donald Trump had worked tirelessly to end the war and that doing so could significantly lower energy prices.
According to Wright, Trump had wanted to end the conflict even before becoming president. “There are constant dialogues with both sides to try to bring that war to an end,” he said.
Russia has reiterated its commitment to a diplomatic settlement of the Ukraine crisis. Moscow, however, says Kyiv is unwilling to seek a resolution through negotiations.
