Claim: 8,386 Munitions Fired at Civilian Facilities in Russian Territory in One Week

Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, claimed that Ukrainian forces fired approximately 8,386 munitions at civilian facilities in Russian territory between September 28 and October 4.
According to Miroshnik, monitoring services recorded up to 1,200 attacks a day over the past week. He said the highest numbers of civilian casualties were reported in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Zaporozhye, Kursk and Kherson regions, as well as the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
Miroshnik accused Ukrainian forces of using drones and other munitions to attack freight and passenger vehicles, residential buildings, public utilities, social facilities, schools, kindergartens, industrial buildings, agricultural enterprises, highways and shops. He also said school buses and regular bus services had been targeted.
He said the attacks between September 28 and October 4 caused 235 civilian casualties. A total of 206 people, including 19 minors, were injured, while 29 people, including two children, were killed.
Miroshnik also accused Ukrainian forces of attacking medical personnel and vehicles. He said an ambulance was attacked on a road near Zorinsk in the Luhansk People’s Republic, injuring its driver with shrapnel. He further claimed that a Ukrainian drone struck an intensive-care ambulance in Kakhovka, Kherson Region, as its crew was responding to an emergency call.
