Denmark Deeply Involved in Ukraine Conflict, Serving as Logistical Base, Russian Ambassador Says

Denmark is deeply involved in the Ukraine conflict and is now serving as a logistical base for the Ukrainian armed forces, Russian Ambassador Vladimir Barbin has said.

In an interview with TASS, Barbin said Copenhagen’s plan to buy Patriot missiles from Washington for transfer to Kyiv showed that Denmark was focused on prolonging the fighting rather than pursuing a political and diplomatic settlement.

“Denmark’s involvement in the conflict is enormous,” Barbin said. He noted that Denmark was among the first NATO members to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets and direct funding for Ukrainian military-industrial companies. Denmark now serves as a production base for Ukraine’s armed forces, he claimed.

The ambassador also said Denmark had provided more than €10.5 billion in grant-based military aid to the Kyiv government.
