Representatives from the European Union, the United States and Ukraine will meet in Brussels on Wednesday to discuss Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction and prosperity, European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho said on Tuesday.
The European Commission will host the meeting, which will also include representatives from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, NATO and the World Bank. The Commission will be represented at the national security adviser level, though Pinho did not identify the official. Details of U.S. participation were not yet available.
Pinho said the meeting would build on earlier talks in Miami between Ukrainian and U.S. representatives, with the aim of achieving a “lasting, sustainable peace” in Ukraine.
NATO spokesperson Allison Hart also confirmed that NATO representatives would meet officials from France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States in Brussels later this week to discuss how to bring about a “just and lasting” end to the war. She said the meeting would build on discussions in Miami and Oslo. NATO has not disclosed the exact date, participants or detailed agenda.
U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said on Monday that negotiators from the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the EU and NATO would meet in Brussels to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, Europe’s post-war security arrangements and economic opportunities to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Witkoff also said the United States would mediate working-level talks between Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11. The discussions are expected to cover post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian efforts and the next steps toward peace.
