Discussions on Energy Cooperation and Regional Challenges: Chinese Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on Energy Minister Shrestha

Kathmandu — Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Zhang Maoming, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, on Friday.

During the meeting, the two sides held extensive discussions on advancing mutually beneficial practical cooperation. They also exchanged views on how to cope with the current regional energy challenges.

Ambassador Zhang reportedly expressed China’s commitment to continuing its support for the development of Nepal’s energy sector. Minister Shrestha conveyed the government’s willingness to elevate Nepal-China energy cooperation to new heights.
