Fire at Russian Tuapse Refinery After Drone Attack; Nearby Residents Evacuated

Tuapse — A fire broke out at an oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, following a drone attack, leading to the evacuation of residents from nearby homes. According to the regional operational headquarters, the fire started after debris from a drone fell on the facility. No casualties have been reported.
Tuapse district head Sergei Boyko informed that residents of nearby houses were evacuated. A total of 164 personnel and 46 units of equipment are currently involved in extinguishing the blaze. Krasnodar Krai Governor Kondratyev stated that a temporary accommodation center has been prepared for local residents at a school building.
This is the second drone-related incident in Tuapse in the last eight days. On April 20, a Ukrainian drone attack on the seaport caused a fire in an oil products tank. At that time, infrastructure damage and an oil slick in coastal waters were reported. It took four days to extinguish that fire.
