Government Deploys Additional Security Teams and Rescue Equipment to Flood-Hit Rasuwa

The government has deployed additional security personnel and rescue equipment to areas of Rasuwa affected by flooding in the Bhotekoshi River.

Teams from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Nepal have been sent to the affected areas with additional equipment to strengthen ongoing search, rescue and relief operations.

Home Minister Sudhan Gurung briefed the security teams at Tribhuvan International Airport and issued necessary instructions regarding their deployment for rescue and relief work.

Gurung emphasized close coordination among the security agencies and rapid mobilization of personnel and resources to make search, rescue and relief operations more effective.

He also instructed the teams to prioritize the rescue of people who remain stranded or out of contact and to ensure that relief assistance reaches affected communities in an organized manner.

The government has intensified the deployment of security forces, medical teams and other agencies after the sudden Bhotekoshi flood caused extensive damage to settlements and infrastructure in Rasuwa and downstream areas.
