Zakharova Accuses Japan of Using Journalists to Gather Information Against Russia

Japan is using correspondents based in Russia to gather information aimed at undermining Russia’s security, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
“Tokyo’s attempts to use its correspondents who are in Russia and have the status of foreign journalists to gather information with the aim of undermining the security of our state are regrettable,” Zakharova said in a statement published on the ministry’s website.
She added that the incident was not an isolated case.
