KATHMANDU — The resignation of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has been published and broadcast with significant attention by Indian media outlets. Gurung was compelled to resign after controversies emerged over hidden investments in his property details and share investments in various companies.

ABP News wrote, “After allegations of corruption, Balen Shah’s Home Minister resigns in 26 days.” It mentioned that Gurung, who had become Home Minister just 26 days ago, had launched an aggressive campaign against corruption, but after controversies surfaced against him, he was forced to resign himself.

Aaj Tak reported that Nepal’s Home Minister resigned within three weeks after corruption allegations. The news stated that Gurung resigned after his assets were found to exceed his income.

NDTV Live wrote under the headline “Second Blow to Nepal’s Balen Government Within Two Weeks: Health Minister, Now Home Minister in Controversy.” The television news mentioned that 38-year-old Home Minister Sudhan Gurung resigned after allegations of business dealings and partnership with broker Dipak Bhatta.
