Telephone Conversation Between Russian and Kazakh Presidents, Discussions Held on Preparations for Astana Visit

Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation on May 17.
During the call, President Putin wished President Tokayev a happy birthday. The Kazakh President expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received during his stay in Moscow to attend the official events marking the 81st Anniversary of the Great Victory.
The two leaders also discussed current matters pertaining to the preparations for President Putin’s upcoming state visit to Astana and the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council to be held there. President Putin had earlier sent a written birthday greeting message to President Tokayev.
