US Treatment of Zelensky Suggests Lack of Recognition as Sovereign Leader: Russian Analyst

The cool reception given to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the United States suggests that the American administration does not regard him as the leader of a sovereign country, according to Russian political analyst Alexander Dudchak.
Dudchak, an expert affiliated with the “Other Ukraine” movement, told the Russian news agency TASS that US President Donald Trump also appeared to have a personal dislike of Zelensky.
He claimed that Western countries were using Ukraine according to their own interests and did not hold the authorities in Kyiv in any special regard.
Dudchak used a harsh analogy to describe relations between Ukraine and the West, arguing that a partner could be abandoned once it was no longer considered useful.
His remarks represent his personal political assessment and should not be interpreted as an official position of the US administration or as an independently verified conclusion.
