‘Article 370’ Wins Best Feature Film as Yami Gautam, Mammootty and Kartik Aaryan Earn National Honours

Hindi film “Article 370” has been named Best Feature Film at India’s 72nd National Film Awards, with Yami Gautam receiving the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the same film.

According to the results released by the Press Information Bureau under India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mammootty and Kartik Aaryan shared the Best Actor in a Leading Role honour. Mammootty was recognised for the Malayalam film “Bramayugam,” while Aaryan received the award for “Chandu Champion.”

The producers of “Article 370,” Jio Studios and B62 Studios, along with director Aditya Suhas Jambhale, were selected for the Swarna Kamal for Best Feature Film.

Randeep Hooda won the Best Debut Director award for “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,” while Rajkumar Periasamy was named Best Director for the Tamil film “Amaran.”

Telugu film “Kalki 2898 AD” received the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, while Tamil film “Captain Miller” was honoured as the Best Feature Film Promoting National, Social and Environmental Values.

In the non-feature section, the Marathi-English production “Bhangaar” was named Best Non-Feature Film, while “Ram-Nami” won Best Documentary.

Commercially prominent titles including “Pushpa: The Rule Part-02,” “Stree 2” and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” also received recognition across various categories.

The awards once again highlighted the linguistic and creative diversity of Indian cinema, extending recognition beyond Hindi films to productions in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Santhali, Garhwali, Tulu and other languages.
