Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and OSCE Secretary General Discuss Organization’s Crisis

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Feridun Sinirlioğlu held talks in New York on September 23. The meeting, held on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, focused on the organization’s current situation and possible ways to overcome the deep crisis it faces.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the two sides also discussed administrative, staffing and financial aspects of Russia’s participation in the OSCE. The ministry did not provide further details of the discussions or announce any specific agreements.
