Foreign Minister Khanal Meets UK Development Minister McNeill

Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal met UK Minister of State for International Development Christie McNeill at UN headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The two discussed Nepal–UK relations and matters of mutual interest, including ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Their talks focused in particular on making UK support for Nepal’s recovery and reconstruction after the recent disaster more effective.

Khanal outlined Nepal’s ongoing rescue, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts and highlighted the importance of international cooperation. Both sides expressed their commitment to expanding the partnership between the two countries.
