Chinese humanoid robot makers have reported strong growth in revenue and production as commercial use of the machines expands.
AgiBot co-founder Peng Zhihui said the company’s revenue came close to 2 billion yuan in the first half of 2026. The company said it had produced 20,000 general-purpose humanoid robots powered by artificial intelligence by September. It also said it shipped 9,700 robots in the first half, capturing 43.1 percent of the global market, citing data from Counterpoint Research. AgiBot’s revenue for all of 2025 was 1.05 billion yuan.
Unitree Robotics reported revenue of 1.817 billion yuan in the first nine months of 2026, up 55.71 percent from the same period a year earlier. Net profit attributable to shareholders rose 270.54 percent to 387 million yuan. The company’s third-quarter revenue increased 69.93 percent to 665 million yuan.
Industrial robot maker Siasun Robot & Automation reported third-quarter revenue of 986 million yuan, a 76.6 percent increase from a year earlier.
The humanoid robot industry is moving from technical testing toward large-scale use in real-world settings, analyst Wang Peng said. Regular deployments are growing in industry, tourism, research and education, he said, adding that companies are shifting beyond hardware sales toward integrated solutions and long-term services.
China has more than 140 humanoid robot manufacturers, according to Xinhua. Chinese companies shipped 14,400 humanoid robots in 2025, accounting for about 80 percent of global shipments. Industry observers said the revenue growth reflects China’s ability to support mass production, but added that commercial success will depend on reliable, sustained use in factories, shopping centres and other real-world settings.
